Thanks to the STJFL Southern Tasmanian Junior Football League for use of the clash tops and to AFL Tasmania for the support with umpires.
A huge congratulations to SVC students Jake Beams, Harvey Alomes, Max Gulliver, and Campbell Barwick who recently represented Tasmania at the 2025 AFL U16 National Championships. The boys played an important role in helping Tasmania take out the Pool B Championship, and we’re incredibly proud of their efforts and achievements on the national stage. Congratulations also to Max Gulliver, who was selected in the All Australian side for the U16 National Championships! Gulliver has also been named captain of the side, a huge and well-deserved honour.
Further, six SVC students participated in the School Sport Australia Championship in Queensland last week!
We are always excited to see our students excel on the national stage. Well done, boys!
Congratulations to Year 10 student-athletes Noah Smith and Connor Store, who represented Tassie at the 2025 CommBank Emerging Championships!
Held in Melbourne over the recent holidays, this national tournament brings together the country’s top young talent - and our players will be right there, representing Tasmania!
This is more than a tournament, it’s a launchpad to the pros. With selectors, scouts, and even international teams watching on, every game is a moment to shine.
Congratulations to Hamish Bewley (Year 8 ) and Angus Cupit (Year 8 ), who represented Tasmania at the 2025 National Junior Rugby Union Championships in Adelaide over the holidays. Mr Franzin also made a surprise visit and was suitably impressed with these young men who represented their state with pride. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the outstanding leadership and tenacity they showed throughout the tournament. Well done, Hamish and Angus!
What a sensational day of hard fought football action, along with raising awareness and funds for The Alex Gadomski Fellowship .
