The Cost of Being Late to School

Every day might be counting, but the minutes are adding up.
We are noticing that we have a number of students who are late to school.
The start of the day is important. It’s when students settle in, connect with their teacher and classmates, and begin key learning. Arriving late can make it harder for students to feel confident and ready for the day ahead - even being 5-10 minutes lates means missing key instructional time.
Day One, Term Two.
As we close this term, we look forward to great things in Term 2! Having all students present at 8:45am on April 20th sets the tone for a successful and exciting term ahead. All students we see on the first day back will receive a certificate, to celebrate and acknowledge their efforts.
We understand that every family’s situation is different, and sometimes absences are unavoidable. If your child is experiencing ongoing challenges with lateness or daily absences, please reach out - we’re here to support you.
Thankyou for supporting our College to help every student start their day strong.
