Kindergarten

A message from Early Stage 1

Home Reading begins at the end of this week!

Home Reading

Home reading will commence at the end of this week. Readers or a ‘sounds and words’ page will be sent home in a home reading folder. We have sent home a Kindergarten Reading cheat sheet with your child today. Not only is it important to listen to your child while they are reading, it is also important for you to read to them and enjoy this one-on-one time. Taking a few minutes to help your child read through the ‘tricky’ words will also help their learning at school. Remember that we are here to help and if you have any questions, please contact your child’s class teacher.

Please return your child’s reader every Thursday. New readers/sounds and words pages will be sent home on Friday.

NSW Fire Brigade Kindergarten Visit

The NSW Fire Brigade is visiting Kindergarten! Our friendly firefighters will teach the children about fire safety in a fun, interactive way. They will show the children their firefighting equipment, explain what to do in an emergency, and allow everyone to see a real fire truck up close. The visit will help our students to understand fire safety and feel confident about staying safe. The firefighters will spark curiosity and answer all the children's questions.
