Deputy Principal's Message

It is hard to believe that we are already halfway through the term. We have many more fantastic events and activities to look forward to including the PSSA soccer and hockey gala days, NW Cross Country Carnival, the Opera House Choir (Festival of Choral Music) regional cluster rehearsal, and our BVPS Athletics Carnival.

Student Representative Council (SRC) Induction

Last Thursday, our 2026 SRC were inducted into their roles in a special whole school assembly. The Ben Venue SRC helps to promote a positive school culture and encourages the development of leadership qualities in students. SRC members organise activities, school events and groups to help students to participate in all areas of school life.

Students interested in the role were asked to speak in front of their class about why they would be a good SRC rep and how they have been a PAX Leader. Classes then voted for 2 students whom they felt would represent them well during meetings, who are keen to work with others to help improve our school, and who they felt would work well with a team, their class and their teacher.

Students elected as class representatives have an important job, as they are the voice of their classmates. They bring concerns and ideas of the student body to the school executive through fortnightly meetings.

We look forward to seeing what the SRC achieves for our students and our school over the remainder of the year. Thank you to Mrs Farmer, Miss Frizell and Mrs Morse who will be working with our SRC team this year.

NSW Public Schools Student Survey

A reminder that students in 3-6 will be completing the NSW Public Schools Student Survey over the coming weeks. The survey gives students the chance to share their feelings about life at school, including questions about their engagement, learning experiences and wellbeing at school. If you wish for your child to opt-out of this survey, please complete the opt-out form that was sent via School Bytes by this Wednesday 27 May. ASC Musical - Mamma Mia

ASC students are holding their production of Mamma Mia at ASC from 25-27 June and 2-3 July. All performances will start at 7pm. Students and teachers have been working hard during rehearsals to bring this fantastic show to you, and it is great to see so many old BVPS students involved.
