From the Principal
May 7, 2026
We’ve had a joyful week of learning and connection. Our Foundation students began the week by sharing their favourite moments from their excursion to Chesterfield Farm at assembly. Feeding the guinea pigs and kangaroos was a clear highlight and their enthusiasm set a lovely tone for the days ahead.
On Wednesday, students took part in our third Tribes session, focusing on Gratitude. It was wonderful to see classes exploring what it means to notice and appreciate the positive moments in their day and the people around them.
Celebrating Our Education Support Staff – Saturday 16 May
This Saturday is Education Support Appreciation Day, a chance for us to recognise the incredible work of our ES team. From classroom support to administration, wellbeing, first aid, and keeping our school running smoothly, they play an essential role in the success of every student. We are proud of their professionalism, compassion and the positive relationships they build each day.
Today, the staff had a morning tea to acknowledge and thank Mrs Henderson, Mrs Southgate, Mrs Muirhead, Mrs Bowen, Mrs P, Mrs G, Mrs Fernando, Mrs Schaper and Mrs Rosenthal for their wonderful work at POPS.

OPEN NIGHT-
WEDNESDAY MAY 20 5:00- 6:15pm
We are excited to welcome our school community to our annual Open Night next Wednesday, 20 May. Classrooms and specialist areas across the school will be open for students and their families to explore and take part in a range of hands‑on activities that showcase learning at POPS.
As you move through each area, staff will share a special clue to help you solve our Open Night puzzle. Once your family has completed all activities and cracked the code, you can submit your entry into the prize draw.
A guided tour will depart at 5:15pm for families who would like a more structured walk‑through of the school.
The evening will conclude in the Arts Centre at 6:15pm, where our School Choir will perform.
We will also have sausages in bread for sale, thanks to TheirCare for generously donating the sausages for this event.
We look forward to a wonderful community evening filled with learning, fun and connection.
