Principal's Message

Good afternoon, Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Week 5 of Term 2. We have a great week ahead with a Year 5 Excursion, Foundation Excursion and Year 6 Camp. A truly great celebration of education for Education Week this week!

 

Cooler Weather Reminder

With the cooler weather now on the way, this is a good time to check that all school jackets, coats, beanies and scarves are clearly named.

  1. Clearly naming items helps ensure lost property can be returned promptly to its owner.
  2. We appreciate families supporting us with this.

 

Hats

  1. SunSmart Hats are no longer required when students are outside until 1st September.

 

Education Support Day

  1. Tomorrow we will be acknowledging Education Support Day.
  2. We thank our wonderful Education Support staff for the care, dedication and support they provide to our students, staff and families each day.
  3. Their contribution to our school community is greatly valued and appreciated.

 

Proud Moments in Our Community

  1. We recently received a lovely message from the local council regarding our students who were playing football at the oval on Friday.
  2. A grandparent watching the game shared that the man from the local council commented on how respectful our students were throughout the day.
  3. Our students were acknowledged for:
    1. Cleaning up after themselves before leaving the oval.
    2. Showing respect towards teachers, parents and each other.
  4. We are incredibly proud of the positive way our students consistently demonstrate our school values in the wider community.

 

Year 6 Camp

  1. Good luck to our Year 6 students heading off to camp this week.
  2. We hope your adventures are filled with fun, laughter and wonderful memories.
  3. A sincere thank you to our dedicated staff who generously give up their personal time to ensure our students can enjoy these valuable experiences.

 

Paige’s Puppies 

  1. Last week Paige returned to Guide Dogs Victoria to await the arrival of her puppies.
  2. Thank you to all that have entered the Puppy Competition. The first correct entry drawn will win a prize.
  3. We will provide our community with ‘pupdates’ when we have some news.
