SUN SMART

Mill Park Heights Primary School is a SunSmart School.

If you wish your child to apply sunscreen it must be brought from home and kept in their school bag.  A reminder bell will ring each day at 10:43am to remind your child to apply their sunscreen.

INSURANCE

Parents/carers of students, who do not have student accident insurance, are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including the cost of ambulance attendance or transport as well as any other transport costs.

Parents/carers can purchase insurance policies from commercial insurers.

It is important to note that the Department does not hold insurance for personal property brought to school and it has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property.

Walk to school Day Friday 22nd May

Next Friday 22nd May is the first day of our new Safe Routes to School, and National Walk to School Day!

The colourful stickers on the footpath will show you the way to school, try and count how many stickers you see! Some stickers have artwork from our students, see if you can find yours.

We want everyone to join in! If you usually drive to school, we want you to find your closest route to walk or ride instead. Walking part of the way is okay.

Walking and riding to school is so fun! It’s a healthy and active way to get to school. We can talk to our friends and enjoy the fresh air.

Remind your parents that next Friday is the first day of our new Safe Routes to School, and National Walk to School Day, we hope to see lots of happy students walking to school.
