Grade 3/4 News

It’s been a great start to Term Two and everyone is settling nicely back into the routines of their classes and learning in LC3.

The lovely weather we have had lately made for a great first session back with the Year 3/4 Sport program. This session offers students the opportunity to explore a variety of sports, with Term Two options including AFL Football, Soccer, Rookie Rollers, and Netball. It’s a wonderful chance for students to try something new, build confidence in unfamiliar activities, and further develop important skills such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience.

Last Friday we commemorated ANZAC Day with a special school assembly where students observed a one-minute silence followed by the Last Post. During class time students reflected on the meaning and history behind ANZAC Day by listening to the story ‘My Grandad Marches on Anzac Day’ by Catriona Hoy  and then completing a worksheet.

The weekly timetable is much the same as Term 1 except for one change. 3/4V, 3/4M and 3/4K will complete a weekly session on a Monday afternoon about Cyber Safety and 3/4B will complete their session on a Wednesday afternoon. Our first session explored the differences between public, shared, and private online spaces, with students learning to identify and categorise which platforms belong to each type.
