Visual Arts

Welcome back to the art room!

Your art teachers are looking forward to an amazing year of creative learning with you, and we have so many great activities planned with paint, collage, drawing, construction and even clay.

We loved hearing from all the students who went to art galleries or museums on the holidays.

Last year Level 2 students learnt about Yayoi Kusama, a Japanese artist, and her exhibition came to Melbourne in December 2024. Many students came to tell me they went to see the exhibition and in doing so, developed their art practice by making real world connections with their own artwork.

This week Level 1 students have been exploring the medium of clay and getting used to the way they can shape, mould and join to create.

Please enjoy the photos and see some of their creativity.
