Curriculum Matters

Level 1
The new school year has started and our Level 1 students have settled in beautifully!
From the very first day, they have embraced their learning with enthusiasm, curiosity and a wonderful sense of community.
To kick off the year students have been busy creating self-portraits, crafting "About Me" bunting to share their interests and writing recounts of their holidays.
These activities have helped them build confidence, express themselves creatively and get to know their classmates better.
In addition to their classroom learning, the children have been enjoying developmental play time, which has been a highlight of their first few days settling in. The hairdresser dolls and LEGO have been especially popular, sparking imaginative play and collaboration among students.
It has been a joy to see our Level 1 students settle into their new routines, form new friendships, and approach learning with such enthusiasm.
We look forward to a fantastic year ahead, filled with growth, discovery, and fun!
Level 2
Our Year 2 students have had a fantastic start back at school!
They have been busy settling into their new routines, reconnecting with friends, and making new ones along the way. To help everyone feel welcome and comfortable, we have enjoyed fun games and activities as a whole cohort, fostering teamwork and friendship.
It has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces as students support each other and build strong connections for the year ahead!
Level 3
Our level 3 students have had an exciting start to the year.
We have had lots of fun getting to know our classmates and our teachers. We have learnt what it means to be a kind classmate and understanding ways that we can celebrate diversity. Level 3 students have also created some amazing displays to celebrate ‘every face has a place’ and beautiful flowers to represent the different ways we can show our school values.
We are excited for a great year in Level 3 with so many who already can not wait for camp.
Level 4
Level 4 has settled into the year well.
We have been getting to know each other. We have made posters about our families and drawn our inner and outer self.
On Tuesday the classes rotated around the level 4 classrooms doing Comic Kids Yoga, Smiling Minds and Hot Potato.
We are looking forward to a great year ahead.

Level 5
The Level 5 students have made a phenomenal start to their time in the Senior school. They have been getting to know each other through a speedy holiday chat, an M&M challenge, brainstorming stupendous adjectives to describe themselves, creating an ‘All About Me’, rocket or sneaker and learning a fun cohort game called ‘Fresh’.
They have also taken on roles and responsibilities around the school as part of their leadership development.
Level 6
Level 6 started 2025 with Interschool sport practise, an introduction to Egg Drop and have begun to write letters to their teachers and future selves. Students have also been given their Level 6 badges and the Captain's have also received their badges at Assembly.
This year I am looking forward to JP Racing and Wakakirri because I think they will be fun to race and perform for our school.

This year I'm excited for JP Racing, hanging out with my friends and hopefully competing in Maryborough for HPV because it will improve my fitness.
Yanni A 6V
This year I am looking forward to Egg drop, Wakakirri and Camp. I am excited for camp because it is probably going to be my favourite camp as it is my last camp at Jells Park Primary.
Mikayla F 6V
This year I am looking forward to Wakkikiri, JP Racing, Egg Drop, Snow Day and Camp. I am mostly excited for Wakkikiri and Camp because of the feedback from last year's Level 6’s and Wakkikiri because it sounds like it will make for an amazing experience.
