Year 5/6 Camp
The Year 5/6 children and staff returned from camp last Friday. By all accounts, everything went well, the children had a great time as did the staff. Photos and captions were posted on Facebook and Instagram and we’ll place a story in next week’s newsletter. We thank the staff who attended for giving their time and to the children for their respectful behaviour .
Vinnies Disco Winter Appeal: A Groovy Way to Give Back
Get ready to put on your dancing shoes and support a great cause! On Thursday August 15th, Holy Rosary School is hosting its Disco Winter Appeal at First Lunch in the School Hall, and everyone is invited to join the fun. This exciting event is designed to bring warmth and joy to those in need during the colder months.
A Dance for a Difference
The Vinnies Disco Winter Appeal will transform the school hall into a vibrant disco with music, lights, and plenty of opportunities to dance. Students are encouraged to get into the spirit of giving while grooving to some great tunes.
Supporting a Worthy Cause
The aim of the disco appeal is to collect donations for winter essentials, including warm clothing, food and blankets, to help those who are struggling to stay warm this season. All contributions from the event will directly support Vinnies' efforts to provide crucial winter supplies to individuals and families in need.
How You Can Contribute
- Dance and Donate: Join us for the disco, and bring along a donation of winter clothing, blankets or non-perishable food items, eg: tin or packet soup, hot chocolate mix, tea/coffee, cup of noodles.
Be a Part of the FunThis is a fantastic opportunity to have fun with your friends while making a positive impact on the community. Let's make this Disco Winter Appeal a memorable one by coming together to support those who need it most.
For more information or if you have any questions, please contact the school office. Let’s dance our way to making a difference this winter!
