Principal's News 

Good afternoon families,

What a beautiful warm weather, we have experienced this week in Melbourne. I am looking forward to the arrival of Spring in the coming weeks.

This week we celebrated Science Week in all the classrooms and we have created many budding scientists. 

During the week we also celebrated Italian Day. Thank you to our parents for the wonderful dress ups. It was a very successful day and we had lots of fun.

A huge thank you to all our classroom teachers, they really do an amazing job in making these days so special for all the students.

Book Week

Next week we will be celebrating Book Week. All the classrooms will be reading the shortlisted books and doing reading activities from these great picture story books. Years 3-6 have the opportunity to go online and join Andy Griffiths at the State library as he launches his new series of Children's Library. Some of our Year 6 students will be visiting Aspendale North Kindergarten to read them some picture story books to the kinder children.

State AFL boys final

Our Year 6 AFL boys team will be competing in the State finals on Wednesday 21 August in Heidelberg. I wish them all the very best and know they will represent St Louis' with great sportmanship.

PFA meeting 

Our PFA will meet this week on Wednesday night in the Boardroom at 7 pm. All are welcome.

Reconciliation Commitment mass

Next weekend the Year 3 students are invited to attend a parish mass to show their commitment to preparing themselves to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in  October. Year 3 students can attend the 6.30pm on Saturday 24 August or 9.30 am Sunday 25 August. Masses at St Brigid's are also available, 8am or 11am on Sunday 25 August.

Monday  4 November - ( day before Melbourne Cup)

Wednesday 13 November - Staff PL ( Religious Education)
