Park and Collect
Safety Tips
At St Thomas the Apostle, families can park in the first two rows of our car park (the bays closest to Fiorelli Drive). Children can walk with parents too and from the cars using the marked crossings.
In the morning when the gates are open at 8.25am children are supervised while playing in playgrounds. Parents are welcome to remain and meet other parents. If you have to go to work or another drop off your child will be supervised and supported. Children must not be left to wait outside the gates before 8.25am.
At the end of the day Foundation students being picked up by parents who park will be brought by a teacher to the basketball courts to collect their child at the end of the day. Older students will walk to the basketball courts and join the seated Foundation students.

Teachers are on duty in this area, ensuring that each child leaves safely with a known adult.
During Term One, Foundation students whose parents choose this option are brought to the courts at 3.05pm to allow a smoother transition to their families.
Children are expected to sit and wait calmly, look out for their adult, and then walk directly to the person collecting them. This routine helps promote safety, independence, and confidence at the end of the school day.
