Principal's Message

Mr Stephen Mahoney

Dear Parents and Carers,

As Term 3 comes to a close, we celebrate a key moment in the school year: the end of formal schooling for our Year 12 students.

Every graduating class is special, but I believe there's something truly unique about our students at St Aloysius College Cronulla. For generations, our Year 12 cohorts have shared a genuine LaSallian spirit—a powerful sense of unity and togetherness that simply can't be taught. I'm so proud of how this particular group of young men and women has handled their final week with such maturity and responsibility.

I recently spoke with our Year 12 students about the importance of "finishing well," encouraging them to make positive choices and create lasting memories during this special time. While it's certainly an exciting period as their 13 years of schooling comes to a close, there is still much to accomplish. Significant learning gains can be made in the final weeks before the HSC exams, and it's essential that students use this time wisely.

Now that the Trial HSC is complete, I encourage them to refocus. They can make the most of this time by working with their peers, submitting practice papers for teacher feedback, and even teaching each other. Our school facilities, especially the Learning Centre, are available over the holiday period, and I highly recommend that students create a structured study timetable to stay on track.

I wish this wonderful group of students all the best for the rest of 2025 and for all the adventures that lie ahead.
