PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

 Welcome to Term 4 from Armidale!

As mentioned in last term's newsletters, I have been seconded to the Armidale Catholic Schools Office to work as a School Performance Leader for Weeks 1 and 2 of this term. It is always hard to be away from our school, staff and students, but the good thing is that we have such capable leaders that the school definitely runs smoothly without me! Thank you to Miss Bailey, who is leading the school in my absence, and to Mrs Wait and Mrs Koch, who lead our K-6 department so well. From Week 2 to 5, Mrs Fraser will be acting Assistant Principal in Primary whilst Mrs Koch is on Long Service Leave.  Thank you to Toni for stepping into this role. 

Thank you to our P and F for their tremendous efforts with the Mega Raffle and Race Day. Also to our families who supported the event and sold tickets.  All four winners were HTS families.

Finally, during the holiday, I was lucky enough to travel to Rome and Assisi on the Armidale Diocesan Jubilee Pilgrimage. This was an inspirational journey for me, and it developed and strengthened my faith. It was an opportunity to be immersed in the international Catholic Church, visiting many sacred and holy basilicas, churches and sights. It will be one of the most memorable faith formation experiences in my life, I am sure. It has renewed my spirit and invigorated me to continue our important work of creating an environment where our students, staff and families can experience the love of Jesus through our prayers, liturgies, social justice initiatives and our care and support one another.  Also, the food was very yummy and my photos skills were pretty poor - a selfie from the top of St Peter's Basilica overlooking the courtyard where we saw Pope Leo.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next week when I return to HTS!
