 Mid-North Coast Cross-Country

Dear Parents and Community Members,

We are thrilled to share the highlights from the recent PSSA Mid-North Coast Cross-Country event that took place on Friday 30th May. Our students showcased remarkable talent, sportsmanship, and determination as they competed against schools from across the region.

The event was held at Wiigulga Sporting Complex at Woolgoolga, providing a beautiful backdrop for a day filled with excitement and athleticism.

Special congratulations to Lucy Stein, who came 1st place in the 8/9yrs girls and Sofia Osterloh, who placed 3rd in the 12/13yrs girls. These girls not only represented our school and the Toormina District with pride, but also earned the right to now represent the Mid-North Coast at the North Coast Cross-Country being held later this term.

NSW Girls Under 12 AFL Championships

On Monday and Tuesday last week Sofia Osterloh participated in the NSW Girls Under 12 AFL Championships at the Blacktown International Sportspark. Sofia continued to excel in her effort and performance on the sporting field, showing determination and persistence in a game that is very new to her. Sofia has also currently made it through to the MNC soccer team and the North Coast Cross Country. We are very proud of you Sofia!

Boambee Public School Shines at NSW PSSA AFL Gala Day!

On Tuesday, our Boambee Public School AFL team hit the field at the NSW PSSA Gala Day Knockout at Wiigulga.

With strong teamwork and determination, our students' performance was excellent, claiming impressive wins over Narranga, Coffs, and Kororo. In a nail-biting clash against a strong Sawtell side, we narrowly missed out, but the effort was outstanding.

Shout-outs to Chase, Bodhi, and Wilbur who were absolute powerhouses on the field — their skills, grit, and game sense led the charge all day! Special mention Imogen and Harry — our rising stars who are showing huge potential and are definitely ones to watch in the future.

Considering most of the team are new to AFL, they played with heart, spirit, and a level of intensity that punched well above their weight. I couldn’t be prouder of this group.

Well done, Boambee students!
