Grade 5/6

It’s been an arts-filled couple of weeks. A huge shout-out to our Year 5/6 students who performed alongside schools from across the shire at the opening of the Castlemaine State Festival. This wonderful initiative, led by Nalderun Aboriginal Education Corporation, was a fantastic opportunity for our students. They did an incredible job braving the hot, sunny conditions and sitting through the speeches before delivering a brilliant performance—bravo!
On Monday, students visited the Goods Shed to see Cho Kairin, King of Chinese Acrobats, where they were amazed by feats such as handstands atop towering stacks of chairs. They also explored a contemporary sculptural exhibition by local Castlemaine artists, which sparked curiosity and creativity.
Enjoy the fair!
