Sprout Online Lunch Orders - Additional Information

We hope everyone is getting acquainted with and enjoying our new online ordering system.  As we are all navigating our way through this exciting change, we are seeing a few things that we wanted to provide some additional information around. 

 

When ordering, please ensure that you have completed all steps, that is, after you have added money to your wallet you will still need to add your order to your cart and confirm it by checking out, for it to be correctly processed. We have found some families have missed this last step, resulting in some orders not coming through to the canteen.

 

As always, please remember to include a container for the lunch order to go in wherever possible, and ensure that the student’s name and class is clearly visible. 

 

If you don’t have a suitable container you will need to add either a paper bag for $1, or a reusable container (to keep) for $3, to your online order. 

 

Please remind your kids to pick up all snack orders from Sprout either at recess or lunch time as these are never included in the classroom lunch order boxes.

Some prior information is provided below to assist families who may not yet have accessed the new platform.

 

We have utilised a Sentral product called StudentPayPlus which will be easily accessible via the existing Sentral for Parents platforms.

 

We want to assure families that the existing lunch order process, where cash payment and a reusable container are sent to school with your child, will remain available to all families. As will the option for snacks to be purchased at the Sprout window during recess and lunch.

 

This new platform allows families to use a wallet system within StudentPayPlus to easily order and reorder lunch orders and recess snack items without the need to send cash to school.

 

Families can save a credit card into the platform which they can use to manually or automatically top-up their student wallets. As with all payments via Sentral, StudentPayPlus does charge a credit card fee on wallet top-ups. There is also a small order charge payable for use of the service, however families will of course continue to have the option to use cash and pay no additional fees.

 

Where orders are placed online, we still request that a reusable container (clearly labeled with the class and student name) is provided which will be brought to the canteen from each classroom daily, as is currently the process for cash orders.

 

To ensure the continuity of excellent service from Sprout, we will be utilising cut-off times for both recess and lunch orders each morning, after which online orders for that day can no longer be placed. The cut off time will be 9:30am each day.
