In Prep B, students have been enthusiastically exploring early numeracy concepts through hands-on learning by building their own “block city.” Using unifix blocks and wooden blocks, students worked collaboratively to design and construct a variety of structures, demonstrating creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

The focus of this learning experience was on number formation and recognition. As they built, students were encouraged to count, identify numbers, and represent them using the blocks. They practised forming numbers, recognising numerals in their environment, and making connections between numbers and quantities in a meaningful and engaging way.
