Green Team Update

Green Team - Community Planting 

On Friday 22nd May, student members of SKiPPS ‘green team’ participated in an amazing community planting event at the Fitzroy Street entrance to Albert Park. 

It’s one of the busiest gateways into the parklands. 

The team worked with the Port Phillip EcoCentre to plant over 2000 indigenous species to restore habitat and create a green entrance to the park. 

This planting will link up with the habitat area we planted behind the school last year. 

The goal is to create a stepping-stone corridor and a bit of a “pit stop” for small birds, butterflies and other pollinators moving through the park.
