Outstanding Success at the Inter‑School Public Speaking Competition

We are proud to announce that this evening our Stage 2 to Stage 6 students represented the College with distinction at the annual Inter‑School Public Speaking Competition, held this year at St Charbel’s College. Competing against students from St Charbel’s, St Maroun’s and Holy Saviour, our students demonstrated exceptional confidence, clarity and skill.

In an extraordinary achievement, our College secured first place in every Stage, marking a clean sweep across the competition. In addition, we received numerous second and third placings, making this our strongest overall result to date.

We commend all participating students for their dedication and exemplary performances. Their success is a testament to their hard work and the support of their teachers and families.

Year 11 and 12 Friday Pastoral Session

Inspiring Futures with Nancy Youssef ✨

On Friday the 29th of May, Our Year 11 and Year 12 students gathered in the Primary Hall for an unforgettable keynote from the incredible Nancy Youssef — strategic mentor, author, and global humanitarian. 🌍

Nancy captivated students with her powerful insights on career pathways, sharing real-world experiences from her work across communities facing poverty. Her message encouraged students to think beyond the ordinary, embrace purpose, and explore the endless possibilities that lie ahead. 💡

From meaningful storytelling to practical guidance, Nancy challenged our students to reflect on their passions, strengths, and the impact they want to make in the world.

A truly inspiring session that has left our senior students feeling motivated, empowered, and excited about their futures! 🚀

Our recent Year 11 2027 Subject Selection Evening was a valuable and engaging opportunity for students and their families to explore the wide range of subjects on offer for their senior years. Throughout the evening, staff provided detailed insights into course content, assessment requirements, and pathways beyond school, helping students make informed decisions about their future studies. It was wonderful to see such strong attendance and enthusiastic participation, with many thoughtful questions and discussions taking place. We look forward to supporting our students as they embark on this exciting next stage of their learning journey.

Breakfast Buddies

Our MCHF Breakfast Buddies program continues to be a wonderful initiative at the College, providing students with a nutritious and welcoming start to their day each week. Proudly sponsored by Kellogg’s, the program runs once a week and offers a range of breakfast options in a supportive and inclusive environment, helping students feel energised and ready for learning.

We are always looking to strengthen this valuable program and would warmly welcome any support from our College community. If any parents or caregivers are interested in contributing items such as milk, bowls, or spoons, please contact the College.

Thank you to everyone who supports Breakfast Buddies and helps make a positive difference in our students’ wellbeing.

Nursing Home visits

Well done to our Years 7, Year 9 and Year 11 students who engaged generously with the residents through the gardening and art sessions in June. Whether tending the garden beds, planting and caring for greenery, or working alongside residents on artistic projects, our students demonstrated patience, empathy and a genuine interest in building relationships with the residents there.

Year 2 responsible pet program 🐾

This term, Year 2 has been learning about how to be responsible pet owners. We discussed the things pets need to stay healthy and happy, including food, water, shelter, exercise, and lots of care and kindness. Students enjoyed learning about different types of pets and how to keep them safe. Through activities and discussions, we explored the importance of treating animals with respect and understanding their needs. We are proud of the enthusiasm and knowledge the students have shown during this program.

Kindy 2027 Observation Sessions

We were delighted to welcome our future Kindy 2027 students and their families to our observation sessions. These visits provided children with an opportunity to explore the classroom, meet staff, and become familiar with the school environment. It was wonderful to see their curiosity, confidence, and excitement as they participated in a range of activities. We look forward to continuing to build positive connections with our newest learners and supporting them as they prepare for their school journey.

Chickens and Ducks 🦆🐥

Our Primary students recently enjoyed a special experience, welcoming adorable chicks and ducklings for students to learn from and enjoy. Students from K–6 had the opportunity to meet our new feathered friends. Year 2 students explored the life cycle as they closely observed the eggs hatch and watched the animals grow each day. They took great care of them and thoroughly enjoyed this hands-on learning experience. A big thank you to the Hatching Eggs Program for their assistance.
