KC's Class Report
KC students have recently been learning all about tricky words, building their reading and spelling skills in creative and engaging ways. These are words that don’t always follow the rules when we try to read and spell them. To help make learning these words exciting, our class created a beautiful Tricky Words Tree. The tree was made from Woolworths bags and paper, showing our commitment to looking after the environment. The tree suits the theme of our African safari classroom perfectly, making our learning space look even more vibrant and fun. Each time students learn a new tricky word, they add it to the tree as a leaf, and the tree brightens our classroom as a celebration of how far we’ve come.
Every morning, KC starts the day with InitiaLit, which helps us learn new letters, sounds, and words in fun and engaging ways. Students love getting creative with art projects for every letter and sound. The letters are made with paper and pencils, and students use markers to make colourful displays that help them remember what they learn. Through these activities, KC students are becoming more confident in reading and spelling. The classroom is filled with wonderful learning and creativity, and KC is proud to display all the progress and fantastic art being made.
