Spelling Bee Finalists

Well done to our Junior and Senior contestants for getting through the school's Spelling Bee Finals on Wednesday 10 June!

Five Senior and four Junior students will proceed to the Regionals next term. We wish them all the best.

Sydney North Touch Football

Gemma in Year 6 had a great time playing with the Sydney North Touch Football team in Narrabeen Reserve. The team placed 4th - congratulations Gemma!

Meadowbank vs Denistone East: Round 2 of the Premier’s Debating Challenge

On Friday 12 June, the Meadowbank Persuaders debating team competed against Denistone East in Round 2 of the Premier’s Debating Challenge. The topic was: "That schools should teach Years 5 and 6 students how to use AI websites and programs." Meadowbank argued the negative side, while Denistone East argued the affirmative. 

Both teams had just one hour to prepare. They spoke confidently and shared interesting points and rebuttals. Meadowbank explained why teaching AI to younger students could make them lazy learners, while Denistone East talked about the benefits of learning about AI early.

The debate took place in front of a Year 6 audience, who enjoyed hearing both sides. In the end, Denistone East was announced as the winner. Congratulations to both teams for their dedication and teamwork.

We look forward to seeing the Meadowbank Persuaders in their next round!
