Primary School News
Primary School
Dear Families,
I am excited to introduce myself to you all as one the newest members of the Collingwood College team.
My name is Scott Duncan and I have recently commenced as the Acting Assistant Principal (Primary).
Prior to commencing at Collingwood College, I have been the Assistant Principal at Lalor East Primary School for the past 8 years. My role was quite varied and diverse and focused on student wellbeing, teaching and learning, data, assessment and reporting, operations, policy and accountability.
I also have a strong interest in student voice and agency; having been a member of the team that founded the Victorian Student Representative Council (VicSRC). I was also its inaugural board chair when the organisation incorporated in 2020.
A career highlight was being able to work with my Principal in 2019-2020 to completely redesign our school facilities as part of a $8.9 million capital works project.
Outside of school, I have lived locally within the City of Yarra for the past 15 years. Prior to this, I lived in grew up in the South East Suburbs near Frankston. I enjoy HIIT style workouts, swimming and good coffee.
Over the coming weeks I will be working across both schools as I support the transition of my replacement at my previous school. I intend to be full time at Collingwood College from Monday 29 August.
I am excited to be ‘taking the next step’ in my career and look forward to meeting you all soon.
Kind regards,
Scott Duncan
Acting Assistant Principal (Primary)
Dear Collingwood College families and students,
I like to thank you all again for all of your love and support in the last 15 years. The School’s community has been such an integral part of my life and I have such wonderful memories. Thank you to all of the students for their hugs, the laughs and willingly sharing their food with me. My send off on the last day of Term two was more than I could have asked for, the speeches, the kind word in the cards, the beautiful flowers, the presents and for so many past and present people to come in to say goodbye.
I Like to congratulate Scott on his successful appointment, and I have no doubt you have welcomed him into the wonderful community at Collingwood.
I look forward to seeing you at the Swing into Spring.
Thank you.
