Moorabool Shire Youth Awards
Nominations for the 2026 Moorabool Youth Awards are now OPEN!
Moorabool Shire is home to so many incredible young people who are making a difference in their communities every day. Whether it’s through volunteering, sport, the arts, advocacy, leadership, supporting others or simply showing kindness, young people are doing amazing things that deserve to be recognised.
The Moorabool Youth Awards are our opportunity to celebrate the achievements, leadership, resilience and positive contributions of young people across our Shire. We’re asking everyone to take a moment to think about the young people they know and nominate someone who deserves to be celebrated.
Award Categories
There are awards recognising a wide range of achievements and contributions, including:
- Influential Adult Award (Open age category)
- Hard Worker Award
- Leader Award
- Will Power Award
- Trailblazer Award
- Kind Soul Award
- Change Maker Award
- Team Player Award
- Thrive Award
- Youth Action Group (YAG) Award
Awards will be presented across two age groups:
12–17 years and 18–25 years
Young people can be nominated if they live, work, study, or volunteer within Moorabool Shire, subject to the eligibility requirements outlined in the nomination form.
Please consider:
- Nominating a young person, you know
- Sharing the nomination opportunity with your school, organisation, club or community group
- Promoting it through your networks and social media
Encouraging young people and the people who support them to get involved
It doesn’t have to be a huge achievement. The Youth Awards are about recognising the inspiring and everyday actions young people undertake within our community; a young person who consistently supports their friends, someone who has overcome challenges and kept going, a young leader creating change, a young person giving their time to others, someone who brings creativity, kindness or positivity into the lives of those around them.
Take a moment to recognise a young person you know. Your nomination could mean more to them than you realise.

There will also be a shorter 2-hour leadership workshop with Youth Projects at West Maddingley, which may be of interest to students who are keen to develop their leadership skills but may not be able to commit to a full-day program. AHM Music
Is offering private and shared music classes at Ballan Primary School.
Classes are available for all ages and experience levels for Guitar and Keyboard
