Captains Corner

This week in Captains Corner ......

Good afternoon, this week I will be sharing my plans for the holidays as well as some activities you could do over the holidays.

My family plans are to maybe go to the cinema and watch some new movies. We also have this tradition where we go to the Yarra Valley Chocolatery and Ice-Creamery factory every school holiday. So, we will also do that. Most of the time we will stay in our house trying to stay as warm as possible.

Some things you could do over the holidays are arts and crafts. Like origami or watch some drawing tutorials (Art Hub for Kids). You should also read books that are a little challenging so you learn new vocabulary.

Hey guys! I hope you are enjoying school so far. There’s only one week to term holidays! Can you believe it? I’m so excited. I have so many things that I want to do. I might go to the snow with some family friends for a few days or even as a day trip or I might just chill at home watch movies and eat snacks.

It is also going to rain during these holidays since its winter, so here are some activities to do during those cold rainy days.

  • Make hot chocolate
  • Binge watch movies or TV shows
  • Bake
  • Build a pillow/ blanket fort
  • Play games

All these activities are so fun to do, especially when you are doing these with family or friends. This weather is the perfect time to relax and have some fun! Enjoy your holidays!

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share with you what my plans are for the Ter 2 holidays, because believe it or not, the term ends next week! I feel like it was just yesterday I was getting ready for the first day of school and now here we are! Halfway through the term already! Anyway, this holiday my family and I are actually going on holiday. We’re flying to the Middle East and won’t be back till next term. The reason where going is to visit my family. If you remember back to the first newsletter the captains and ! wrote, I mentioned being from Syria. I hope all the other people flying out have fun, and even if you’re staying home, I hope you enjoy the two-week rest and restore your energy. I personally can’t wait to sleep in!

Hi, today I’m giving recommendations for things to do over the holidays. First, I’m going to start with movies. There are good cinemas like Hoyts and Village Cinemas close to Glen Waverly. Some good movies are: Bad Guys 2, Dog Man, and How to Train Your Dragon. There are also good zoos around that you could go to e.g., Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Zoo and the Moonlit Sanctuary. Me and my sister also like going to play centers, like Bounce and Rush HQ, with friends.
