Throughout this term students have been working on applying their knowledge learned in Term to complete a Design Project. 

In Prep, students used a range of materials to design and construct party hats. 

In Years 1 and 2, students researched, designed and constructed animal shelters using at least 3 different types of materials. 

In Years 3 and 4, students learned about environmentally friendly plastic alternatives. They developed and tested their own recipes for Gelatine plastic and then designed and made a shape or product using their plastic recipe. 

In Years 5 and 6, students have investigated bioplastics and how they can be made. Students tested a range of different methods and then designed a mould that they made using the 3D printers to make their plastic design.
