World's Greatest Shave Day:

Today at St Joseph’s Rochester, our school community proudly gathered to celebrate an extraordinary milestone achieved by one of our remarkable students, Ethan. For the past two years, Ethan has been participating in “World's Greatest Shave,” dedicating himself to both growing out his hair and raising funds to support the initiative.

After months of patience and commitment, today marked the special moment when Ethan bravely shaved off his long locks in honour of the cause. His dedication throughout this journey has been truly inspiring, demonstrating compassion, perseverance, and a strong desire to make a positive impact.

To support Ethan’s efforts, our school hosted a Healthy Wrap Drive, with our students enthusiastically participating. Thanks to their generosity and community spirit, we successfully raised an impressive $288 toward Ethan’s fundraising efforts.

We could not be prouder of Ethan’s outstanding achievement and the wonderful example he sets for our school. A heartfelt thank‑you also goes out to the entire St Joseph’s community for embracing this initiative and coming together to support such a meaningful cause.

Well, done, Ethan — your kindness and determination shine bright, and we are honoured to stand beside you on this journey.

Ride To School Day

Today at St Joseph’s Primary Rochester, our students enthusiastically took part in Ride to School Day, supported by our wonderful staff, families, and friends. The event provided students with a fantastic opportunity to choose a healthy and active way to travel to school.

Riding alongside friends and family brought plenty of excitement and joy, and the atmosphere was full of energy as bikes and scooters filled the pathways leading to our school gates. The initiative not only encouraged physical activity but also promoted independence, road safety awareness, and a fun sense of community connection.

Adding to the excitement, students received a special visit from our local CFA team, who arrived in their fire truck to help ensure everyone made it safely through the school gates. Their presence was a highlight for many of our students and added an extra layer of safety and fun to the morning.

Our St Joseph’s community should feel proud of the enthusiasm shown today. It was a wonderful celebration of healthy habits, teamwork, and community spirit.

Book Club – 2026

We are seeking a parent helper to continue coordinating Book Club in 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity to support our children’s love of reading and help them access a wide range of books.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Shelley MacFarlane for her dedication and commitment over the years in ensuring all children had the opportunity to enjoy and benefit from Book Club. Her contribution has been greatly appreciated by our school community.
