School Council

On behalf of the School Council, I would like to thank Tim for his passion and enthusiasm for Marlborough Primary during his time here. It has been a pleasure to work with him, and I know MPS, our staff and broader community have benefitted greatly from his dedication. 

Please join me in wishing him well in his new role. 

Next steps 

I've had a few questions about next steps so I thought I would summarise below: 

1. The Department has advertised an Expression of Interest for an Acting Principal role, and this EOI closes at the end of this week. We expect a decision to be made relatively promptly to allow for a handover period with Tim.

2. Recruitment for principals occurs in cycles, and we are not able to advertise for the substantive (ongoing) principal role until into Term 2, which is why we will have an Acting Principal in place during Term 2. 

The recruitment processes are led by the Department, and representatives from MPS School Council and staff also will be involved in both recruitment processes.
