Nude Food = Happy Bodies, Healthy Minds!

At our school, we are starting to promote Nude Food, a simple but powerful way to support student wellbeing and healthy habits every day.

Nude Food means bringing food to school that is fresh, unpackaged, and low in waste. This includes fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, cheese, yoghurt, and homemade snacks that are not wrapped in plastic or foil packaging.

Why Nude Food matters for wellbeing

Healthy eating is closely linked to how children feel and learn at school. When students eat nutritious foods:

  • they have more energy throughout the day
  • they can focus better in class
  • they feel calmer and more balanced
  • they develop healthy habits for life

Choosing Nude Food also reduces unnecessary packaging, helping us care for our environment and create a more sustainable school community.

Easy Nude Food ideas for families

  • Fresh fruit and veggie sticks
  • Sandwiches or wraps in reusable containers
  • Cheese cubes, boiled eggs, or yoghurt
  • Homemade muffins or slices
  • Water in a refillable bottle

Small changes can make a big difference!

A whole-school wellbeing approach

Nude Food supports our broader focus on student wellbeing, helping children feel ready to learn, play, and connect with others. It also encourages students to take responsibility for their own healthy choices.

We encourage all families to support Nude Food wherever possible and thank you for helping us build a healthy, happy school community.

Together, we are growing healthy learners. One lunchbox at a time!
