This term, St Peter's will be using Sound Scouts, an innovative hearing screening program, to conduct hearing assessments for all Foundation, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students.
Good hearing plays an important role in a child's learning, communication and social development. Sound Scouts uses a fun, game-based approach to help identify any potential hearing concerns that may require further investigation. The screening process is simple, engaging for students and completed at school during the school day.
In the coming weeks, teachers will provide families with a permission form. Please read the information carefully and return the signed form to your child's teacher as soon as possible.
We are pleased to offer this opportunity as part of our commitment to supporting the wellbeing and learning needs of all students. If you have any questions or would like further information about the program, please contact Lill Daley, Learner Diversity Leader, or the Office.
Our swimming program concluded this week. Students practiced life saving techniques by swimming in clothes, rescues and using life jackets.

Congratulations to our Attendance HEROs for their attendance in Week 2!

With the ever-increasing concerns around online safety in children and young people, it's more important than ever to support our families in being able to discuss topics with your children or young people such as gaming and social media, to cyberbullying and AI-generated content.
The eSafety Commissioner have an Online Safety Parent guide that provides practical ways for parents and carers to support their child to have more positive online experiences. The guide will help you:
Understand common online risks and issues
Learn what helps in different scenarios
Talk with their child about what they do online
Know how to respond if something goes wrong
Please follow this link to the guide - Online safety book | eSafety Commissioner
This link (Parent resources | eSafety Commissioner) also provides resources for parents and carers to help you start the chat about online safety issues and strategies with your child.
