REFLECTIONS - CELEBRATING OUR SRC
As we head toward the close of another vibrant year, I want to take a moment to shine a well-deserved spotlight on our incredible Student Representative Council (SRC) representatives.
Throughout 2026, our SRC leaders from Prep through to Grade 6 have exemplified what true student agency and leadership look like. Student voice isn't just a buzzword at our school—it is a vital cornerstone of our wellbeing framework. When children feel heard, valued, and empowered to make real decisions about their school community, their sense of belonging and connectedness flourishes.
Beyond the events and meetings, what made me proudest as Wellbeing Leader was watching these young leaders grow in empathy, resilience, and confidence. Stepping up to speak in front of assembly, gathering classroom ideas, and collaborating to solve problems are big steps for primary school students, and every single representative met those challenges with enthusiasm.
To our 2026 SRC team: Thank you for your service, your energy, and your commitment to making SJV a kinder, brighter place every day. You have set a wonderful example for your peers and proved that small hands can drive big positive change.
