LOOK WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN AUSLAN AT MPHPS

Hello everyone,

Welcome back. We hope you have all had an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. We had a great start to Term 3. We are looking forward to the next fortnight with lots of fun learning in the Auslan classroom. It’s always great to see students practising the signs they have learnt and being enthusiastic about their learning.

SIGNS OF THE WEEK

Don’t forget to ask your child to show you some of the AUSLAN signs they have been learning. In the last fortnight we have been revising many signs that we learnt last year. The signs of the week are our new school values: ‘Respect, ‘Collaboration’ & ‘Perseverance.’

  • Ludwig van Beethoven was deaf. He began to lose his hearing in his mid-20s, and by his early 40s, he was completely deaf. Despite this profound hearing loss, he continued to compose music, including some of his most famous works.
