Term 2 Wrap Up

Thank you for a wonderful term. We are grateful for your support, encouragement and partnership throughout the term — it truly makes a difference. We wish all our families a safe, restful and fun holiday break. Enjoy the time together, and we look forward to seeing everyone refreshed for the new term.

Reading

Over the holidays we will not be sending home readers. Rather we encourage you to visit the local library and borrow some books together to enjoy. 

Maths

Our Grade 2 students have loved the hands‑on learning over the past few weeks. They explored capacity by measuring and comparing with water and sand, discovering how different containers hold more or less. Taking our learning outdoors made the experience even more engaging, giving students the chance to experiment, collaborate and have fun while deepening their understanding. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and curiosity shine.

Inquiry

Our Grade 1/2 students have been exploring what makes a community work. They investigated the people, places and services that help keep a community safe, welcoming and connected. Using their knowledge, students designed and built their own mini‑communities, thinking carefully about shared spaces, sustainability and how neighbours support one another. Their creativity and teamwork shone as they brought their ideas to life and proudly shared their communities with others.

Showcase

Thank you to all the families who joined us for our showcase. It was wonderful to see students proudly sharing their learning, explaining their community designs and celebrating the teamwork behind their creations. Your presence made the afternoon feel special and supported the children in recognising the value of their hard work. We appreciate the time you took to come along and share this milestone with them.
