Dear Foundation families, 

Thank you for your support throughout this semester. The transition to primary school is a big adjustment for students, parents, and carers.  I hope you take the opportunity to enjoy some quality family time together and to have a well-deserved rest.

Maths 

In maths, our Foundation students have been busy working with numbers up to 20! Using base-10 blocks, ten frames, and buttons, they practised building different numbers between 0 and 20, identifying the largest and smallest numbers, and ordering them from smallest to largest.

Inquiry

Our Foundation students have been incredibly hard at work bringing Australian animal habitats to life! Using a wonderful variety of craft materials, they carefully designed and constructed dioramas that captured different textures and environmental features. This project was the culmination of a term-filled journey exploring four unique native animals. On Tuesday afternoon, our young researchers proudly presented their hard work at the Showcase of Learning. It was absolutely wonderful to hear them confidently recall so many fascinating facts with our community. Well done on an amazing effort, Foundation students!
