From the Principal...

Thank you for a fantastic term!

As another busy term comes to a close, we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped make it such a positive and successful one.

To our students – thank you for your enthusiasm, hard work and the way you continue to support and encourage one another through our school values. We are so proud of everything you've achieved this term, both in and out of the classroom.

To our amazing staff – thank you for your dedication, care and the energy you bring to our school every day. Your commitment to our students and our school community is truly appreciated.

And to our parents and carers – thank you for your ongoing support, encouragement and partnership. Whether it's helping with homework, coming along to school events or simply cheering your children on each day, we couldn't do it without you.

We hope everyone enjoys a well-earned break filled with rest, fun and time with family and friends. We can't wait to see you all back next term, refreshed and ready for another great term of learning together.

Have a safe and happy holiday! Together We Grow!

A Standing Ovation for Our Year 3–6 Concert!

Our Year 3–6 Concert was a wonderful celebration of talent, creativity and teamwork, and we couldn't be prouder of our students.

From the moment the curtain opened, our performers entertained us with their enthusiasm, confidence and energy. Whether singing, dancing, acting or playing an important role behind the scenes, every student contributed to making the concert such a memorable event. It was fantastic to see their hard work and commitment shine on stage.

A huge thank you to our dedicated staff, whose countless hours of planning, rehearsing and organising made the concert possible. Your passion and support gave our students the confidence to perform at their very best.

We would also like to thank our parents, carers and families for your ongoing encouragement and support. Thank you for helping with costumes, practising at home, attending the performance and cheering so enthusiastically from the audience. Your support means so much to our students and our school.

Congratulations to everyone involved in creating such a special event. It was a wonderful reminder of what we can achieve when we work together as a school community. We hope everyone who attended enjoyed the show as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life!

Details about purchasing the video will be available at the start of term 3.

SRC – Well Done and thanks MEPS!

Well done the MEPS Students Representative Council and the whole school for their great fundraising efforts this week. The ‘free’ dress day has managed to raise $554.90 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. This is a wonderful achievement and comforting to know that MEPS is giving back to the community, supporting a great cause!

Year 1 Expo

Congratulations to the year 1 students for their wonderful celebration of their learning projects. It was fantastic to see so many parents and family members come along on Wednesday to share in the fun.

Lightning premiership

Congratulations also to the 5/6 students for their amazing efforts at the recent Lightning Premiership day. It was great to see the sporting skills on display but most importantly the sportsmanship, attitudes and positive behaviours being demonstrated! Well done to everyone involved.

Year 3/4 Hoop time

A reminder that the year 3/4 Hoop Time basketball tournament is scheduled for Friday July 17 – first week of term 3. Please complete the permission and payment via Compass to ensure you child can participate.

Premier's Reading Challenge – Keep Turning Those Pages!

Our students have made a fantastic start to this year's Premier's Reading Challenge, and it's wonderful to see so many enthusiastic readers already making great progress.

The challenge is a fantastic opportunity for students to discover new books, explore different genres and develop a lifelong love of reading. Every book completed brings students one step closer to achieving their reading goal while building confidence, vocabulary and imagination.

We encourage all students to keep reading over the coming weeks and remember to record the books they finish. Whether it's a chapter book, a picture book or an exciting non-fiction title, every book counts towards the challenge.

Thank you to our families for supporting reading at home by listening to your children read, sharing stories together and making time for books each day. Your encouragement makes a real difference.

There's still plenty of time to complete the challenge, so keep turning those pages and enjoying the wonderful adventures that books can offer. Happy reading, everyone!
