ST BRENDAN'S ATHELTICS DAY

What a fantastic event! The students, teachers, and community of St Brendan's came together for an amazing day. Every student gave their best effort—I know because I received about 100 reports of sore legs on Friday! This day wouldn't have been possible without the wonderful helpers, including parents Tahlia, Trevor, Jemha, Sarah, Mimi, Heidi, and Tallulah. A big thank you to all the parents who volunteered and supported their children and others in the school. Special recognition to the staff for their flexibility and efficiency in record-keeping. And a huge shout out to Marg Van Der Peet for her dedication, running 30,000 steps and helping set up the event.

DIVISION SWIMMING AT YAWA

Congratulations to Ellie B and Eirene V for proudly representing St Brendan's at the Division Swimming event at the YAWA Aquatic Centre in Rosebud. Despite facing tough competition, they gave it their all. Ellie B is pictured proudly holding her second ribbon in the 50m freestyle. A big congratulations to both, and we look forward to seeing their future achievements in swimming.

SPORT IN THE CLASSROOMS

This week in sports, we honed our reaction times in preparation for cricket matches next week. The students engaged in a fun game called "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Cones," with Foundation students competing against themselves and older year levels pairing up. It's an exciting game that can be enjoyed at home with just a cone and quick reflexes. Clink the link to have a look at Willow G taking the reigns of 3/4O.

3/4O - Heads, Shoulders, Knees and CONES!

We're eagerly anticipating our PE lessons this week as Cricket Australia will be visiting to teach F-6 skills in bowling and batting. I'm excited to share what we learn with everyone.

DISTRICT ATHLETICS DAY - TRACK

Great news! Following the fantastic turnout at St. Brendan's Athletics Day, 80 students are advancing to Division Track Athletics at Ballam Park on March 22nd, from 9:30 am to 2:15 pm. Your support is welcome, and if available in the morning, assistance with setting up marquees would be appreciated. It's expected to be hot, so come prepared. Check out the list below for the participating students and their events. The more, the merrier!
