HARMONY DAY
Dear St Brendan's Community,
Get ready to celebrate our rich diversity during Harmony Week, which brings Australians together from various backgrounds. This year, mark your calendars for Thursday, March 21st, 2024. Harmony Week runs off from the 15th to the 21st of March, focusing on values like acceptance, tolerance, inclusion, and respect.
On the 21st, we invite students to dress in their National Attire, National Colours, OR sport the colour orange to align with the Harmony Day theme - "Where Everyone Belongs."
Join us for a Whole School Mass at 11:30 am, combining Holy Week and Harmony Day festivities. Families and community members are encouraged to attend and celebrate this special occasion.
In the afternoon, the SRC/Student Voice Team will lead a schoolwide rotation event, featuring four activities centered around play and promoting inclusion, multiculturalism, and respect.
Let's come together to celebrate the beauty of multiculturalism, creating a St Brendan's community where everyone is embraced. We look forward to a day filled with joy, learning, and unity.
SRC/STUDENT VOICE TEAM
This week, the SRC/Student Voice Team focused on planning for the upcoming Harmony Day event. We discussed logistics, timetables, and materials needed for the afternoon. Additionally, we brainstormed strategies to promote the event and created posters to spread the message.
