Ballarat Primary School (Dana Street) has a strong tradition of welcoming participation from parents, carers, and other volunteers in many different aspects of school life.
At Ballarat Primary School (Dana Street), we believe that every parent and carer plays a crucial role in shaping our vibrant learning environment. We encourage everyone to lend a hand and get actively involved in a way that suits their interests and availability.
From assisting in the classroom and participating in special events to joining us on excursions and camps, there are countless opportunities to make a meaningful impact. Our classroom and specialist teachers will make specific requests for assistance throughout the year so keep a look out!
To ensure a safe and supportive environment for all, volunteers must complete an annual induction.

From time to time, uniforms will be displayed in a Pop-Up Shop style. Time commitment can vary between 15 minutes every few weeks to 30 minutes – 1 hour once a term.
Fundraising Committee (School Council Sub Committee)
This newly revamped committee will report directly to School Council. The committee will take ownership of fundraising activities at the school, such as Hot Cross Bun drives, as well as develop new opportunities for fundraising, such as a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle, seeking sponsorship/donations and create a calendar of events. Committee members may need to undertake basic School Council governance training to ensure the fundraising committee operates within Department of Education guidelines.
Time commitment will include committee meetings (30 minutes – 1 hour, bi-monthly – TBC) and 1–2 hours of planning prior to activities.

Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club runs before school each Friday from 8:30am and is overseen by Kelly Kosloff (staff). Volunteers should be comfortable preparing basic breakfasts, engaging positively with students, and assisting with cleaning tasks. \
