From the SRC

Hello SMPPS community! 

We hope you have all settled in well for the first four weeks of school. Here's an overview of what we've been working on as an SRC group, along with the items we would like to address.

Firstly, on behalf of the SRC, we are so lucky to have our amazing coordinators, Mr Huynh and Mr Sandison. Because of such great support, we have already started to get into the routine of meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays. Some of these are meetings to discuss school items, whilst others are workshops to improve our leadership. We are currently focusing on public speaking and improving this skill. This includes the power of the pause, a few attention grabbers and how to speak with confidence. Furthermore, we have all chosen our personal leadership goals for this term, and we will work on them and strive to accomplish them.

Secondly, we have identified a few areas for improvement in the yard during lunch and recess. Please ensure your hat is always on your head. Even if you are playing tag, please make sure your hat is on. When playing tag or running around, please keep clear of the playground. The playground is not a running space, as it is a high-traffic area. Thank you for your cooperation!
