EXCURSION DAY – THURSDAY, 5TH MARCH

Could you please record your response on Compass, either providing consent or selecting decline, so we can confirm student numbers for the upcoming excursions. Coordinating whole‑school excursions on the same day requires significant organisation, and having accurate numbers helps ensure a smooth departure.

Below is the timetable for the day, along with a link to the map showing where students will meet their teachers at St Vincent Gardens. Please remember that parents are asked to park on St Vincents Place North so that the nine buses have enough space to park in the surrounding streets.

KISS AND DROP

A reminder that parents must remain in their car at the end of the school day when collecting their children. Students using the Kiss and Drop will be asked to wait at the front gate until their car has pulled up on the school side of the street.

If you wish to come into the school grounds, please park in an alternative location so that traffic can continue to move smoothly through the Kiss and Drop zone.

For safety, children should always exit the car onto the footpath on the school side, using the door closest to the curb. I know this is a challenging time for our community and appreciate your patience and support.

EARLY ARRIVALS

We have noticed an increasing number of students arriving at school before 8.45am. As supervision is not available before this time, any child who arrives early is being asked to wait in the ‘bus stop’ area within the administration building. An email is then sent to parents and carers to let you know that your child has arrived before staff are on duty.

To help us keep all students safe, I would appreciate your support in ensuring that children arrive after 8.45am. Thank you for your cooperation.

PHOTO PERMISSIONS

Parents and carers, you will find a new banner on your Compass page requesting your consent regarding photo permissions. I would appreciate your help in responding promptly so that we have clarity around student photos in the newsletter.

CONGRATULATIONS

A huge congratulations to our District swimmers who not only performed their personal best but also represented our school beautifully. It was lovely to hear that our swimmers were being great sports and cheering each other on. Thank you to Mr Lovett for working an additional day to ensure this event could take place.

And lastly, a big well done to our wonderful Preps! They have settled into school beautifully and are busily learning each other’s names, getting to know school routines, and even beginning their Phonics learning. We are so proud of them and the positive start they have made.
