FABULOUS SWIM TEAM EFFORTS!

A big congratulations goes to our 33 Swim Team members that gave their best efforts on Wednesday this week, at the Dendy District Swimming carnival. Not only should they be proud of their race efforts, but also in regards to their wonderful SF ‘team-spirt’ efforts!  Lots of cheering & supportive attitudes were witnessed at the Oakleigh Rec. pool.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to the many parents that assisted with team supervision, bus support, lane timing and ribbon handing-out.  We are very grateful for all of the amazing help over the day!  A special thank you also goes to Miss Niamh Lennon and LSO, Manal Semaan, who assisted the team over the duration of the carnival.  Full results will come out in the next day or so, which we will share with our schooling community when they do.

WHOLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

The big countdown is on for our first whole school sporting carnival for the year!  We now have only 3 weeks to go until all students will participate in our Andrew Lesiniewski House Athletics Carnival.  This year all students will travel by bus to Duncan MacKinnon Reserve Athletics track in Murrumbeena.

Thank you to the families that have already read and accepted the Nforma permission email for this day.  We ask if this can be done as soon as possible to ensure everyone is all set for this fun day of team-spirit and sporting activities.

YEAR 5&6 WINTER SPORT 

Term 2 Inter-School Football/Netball Program

It’s a busy sporting term 1, however, it won’t be long until Term 2 arrives! This sees’ all of our Year 5&6 students becoming involved in our weekly Dendy Winter Sport Inter-School Football and Netball competition.  Students will travel to other local schools and venues to play either netball or football over a number of Friday afternoons over the term. To prepare for this Winter Sport program, over the next few weeks all Year 5&6 students will be asked to submit their Winter Sport preference, so teams can be set prior to the end of Term 1. We ask parents to chat with their child at home to support them in their decision of which sport to play.  Please look out for a Nforma permission email with further information over the next few weeks.  

PARENT HELP REQUEST:  weekly support for bus supervision & umpires:          To assist with this program, we’d love the support from any parents/adults that are able to assist with either umpiring or support with travel on the bus.  A formal request document with dates will go out by the end of term 2. If you are able to assist on any of the scheduled Winter Sport dates, please contact Tania:
