Endeavour House News

Dear GSG Boarding Families
We have made it to the end of Term Two, and while movements around the house have slowed, the anticipation of heading home is high!
Our junior boarders continue to attend their afternoon sports and activities alongside the busy schedule of studying for assessments and completing projects. We are very proud of the commitment being shown as they strive to achieve their personal best. The growth of all our juniors over the second half of the term is evident in the accountability they are demonstrating, both as individuals and for each other, helping to build the supportive community we endeavour to foster.
Endeavour House supervisors have been superb in their pastoral care of the boarders, including programming creative and fun activities for recreation. It’s always a buzz on a Friday evening to hear boarders discussing what they’re going to choose!
Here are some highlights from Lachie and Grace:
There has been plenty of activity around the house over the past few weeks, with everyone making the most of breaks in the rainy weather. They’ve enjoyed getting outdoors for bike rides, fishing trips, braving the cold for a swim at the beach, and even riding down muddy hills on boogie boards. When the rain sets in, many have huddled in the lounge room to watch movies, do craft activities, and play games with their friends.
The boarders are looking forward to a well-earned end-of-term treat in Week Ten, with an afternoon at the driving range followed by an evening fish at Emu Point. Others will enjoy a sunset dinner at the beach, with ice cream to follow.

What is happening next:
Room Changes:
As you may be aware, we are underway in making preparations for boarders to change rooms for Term Three. Boarders have nominated their preferences and we have had conversations with individuals and their homes to ensure we are coordinating the best arrangements possible. Some boarders we know who are leaving early have been given priority for assistance with room cleaning and packing their belongings. All our juniors next week, even if they are staying in their room, will be encouraged to clean and make moves so that we are refreshed and set for Term Three.
Further communications regarding room changes will be sent to you before the end of this week.
Mrs Nyree Mackenzie Returns:
Mrs Mackenzie will return to boarding in Term Three and is looking forward to reconnecting with everyone and continuing to watch our juniors grow.
Thank you all for your grace and patience as I have stepped into my role as Pastoral Manager looking after Endeavour House. It is so rewarding to come to the end of the term and see bonds strengthened and individuals blossoming. I wish you all the very best for Term Three and look forward to seeing you at school.
May you all have the very best school holidays, safe travels, stay well, and make wonderful memories with your loved ones. Well done on your efforts throughout Term Two!
Warmth,
Ms Madi van der List | Pastoral Manager Endeavour House
