Reflection

The Passion of Saint John the Baptist (August 29)

Today, we remember the Passion of Saint John the Baptist, a man of courage, truth, and unwavering faith. He spoke out boldly, prepared the way for the Lord, and stood firm in his convictions, even when it cost him his life.

As we reflect on his sacrifice, we are reminded that living with integrity and standing up for what is right is not always easy, but it is always worth it.

God of truth and courage,

You called John the Baptist to be a voice crying out in the wilderness, preparing hearts for your Son.

Give us the same boldness to speak truth with love, to stand for justice, and to live faithfully each day.

May we never be afraid to live your Gospel, even when it is difficult.

Through the example of St. John the Baptist, strengthen our hearts to follow You without fear.

Amen.
