Principal's Report:

 WELCOME BACK TO TERM 2:

Term 2 has begun smoothly for our School Community. During the term break, improvement works were completed, including new carpet installation in Rooms 16 and 17, with both spaces also freshly repainted.

WELCOME TO ELIZABETH GLOSTER and SARAH LUKOITO:

I am pleased to welcome Elizabeth back to the Kerang Technical High School Community. Elizabeth is recommencing at KTHS after previously working with us last year as an English and Humanities teacher. We are delighted to have her return and look forward to the experience and continuity she brings to her role.

We also extend a warm welcome to Ms Sarah Lukoito, who is joining KTHS this term as a Mathematics teacher. We look forward to the valuable contribution Sarah will make to our school and wish her a positive start at Kerang.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES:

These were conducted last Tuesday.  Interviews started at 12:30pm and went through to 6:30pm. There was a steady flow of parents taking the opportunity to meet the staff.

ANZAC DAY:

The School conducted its own ANZAC service today, 24th April, ahead of ANZAC Day, 25th April.  Once again, the white crosses have been placed at the front of Thornely Hall as a visual reminder of those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may enjoy the quality of life we have today.

On ANZAC Day, the school will be represented in the march from the Town Clock Tower in Victoria Street to the Cenotaph on the highway.

I invite all students to attend and participate in the march. Those wishing to take part are asked to assemble at the Town Clock Tower at 9:45 am for a 10:00 am step-off. Students participating are required to wear full school uniform as a sign of respect.

As in previous years, the School Captains, Pranali and Thomas, will present the requiem during the service.
