On Friday the 27th our Eco leaders Abel and Vicki along with School Captain Tobey, and keen Garden Club members Reuben and Patrick went in to see the Garden Show. Spending the day at the incredible Exhibition Buildings and Carlton Gardens, looking at different ways to create gardens. We got to join in on planting activities, painting Bee Hotels for our gardens, and admiring the paintings, sculptures and Scarecrows entered into different competitions.

Everyone agreed a highlight of the day was the HOT CHIPS we got at lunch!

Seriously, there were a lot of “oohs, aahs and wow's” as we explored the stalls and watched demonstrations of crafts like wood turning and stone carving.

Mr Crook also made sure there was some learning going on, such as how the First Australian Parliament was held there.

Fortunately the weather held off and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, special thanks to Patrick's mum Libbi for coming along and helping Mr Crook.
