Principal Team Updates
from everyone's desk.
What a ten week’s it has been with all students benefiting from daily rich learning opportunities delivered by our highly professional and dedicated staff team. In addition to classroom and Specialist learning, term highlights include our:
· Preps settling in beautifully
· Year 1’s developing water awareness
· Year 2 Concert – we have some junior stars in the making!
· Year 3’s and 5’s undertaking NAPLAN
· Year 4’s learning all about democracy culminating in a visit from the Mayor of Maroondah, Cr Linda Hancock, just yesterday
· Year 6’s attending their last adventure camp of their primary school journey

Students will be dismissed TODAY at 1.30pm from their classrooms after our whole school assembly at 12.50pm. Come on down if you are free. Our top three chess champions for the term will be announced, as will the winners of the three main Easter Raffle prizes.

Speaking of which, thanks to all families who donated items, and to the dedicated CHAPs volunteers who packaged over 100 prizes raising a whopping $3,179.30. All prizes were drawn by our school captains on Monday.
I’m sure there were lots of happy faces at pick up time when children arrived home with a little extra in their school bags or hands. Hopefully all prizes made it home!
Thank you also to those who supported the Junior School Council’s ‘Silly Hair Day’ fundraiser for the Royal Children’s Hospital. Many of our families have been recipients of the amazing care this world class facility provides.
I would like to acknowledge the support of school staff and Croydon Hills families whilst I assumed Christian’s role in his absence. We welcome his back from long service leave on the 1st day of Term 2, Monday the 20th of April. I’m sure he will be keen to learn of holiday experiences, specifically how many pyjama days were had and what board games were played. He will also be looking forward to touring many potential 2027 Prep families. Please don’t forget to complete the ‘Sibling’ survey sent out on Compass if you have a preschool child commencing Prep in 2027.
Thanks also to Miss Maddy Gillespie for teaching 1BA for Term 1. We welcome Mrs Allemand back at the start of Term 2, but you may still see Maddy around filling in here and there.
All the best to one of our regular CRT’s, Chloe Mitchell as she leaves us for a while to have a baby!
We'd like to send a huge congratulations to Kelly Gommers & partner Jason who welcomed their baby boy, Ollie, into the world on Sunday evening. They are loving parent life and settling in well to life at home.
