Mother's Day Stall

Brenda Ringwaldt - Friends of Donvale

As always, the stall was so much fun - I love seeing how excited the kids get when choosing something special for mum!

There was a palpable buzz inside the Community Hub at the end of last week as class after class of excited students entered the Mother’s Day Stall in search of the perfect gift for mum.

Ice cream sundae kits, flowers, toaster tongs, heat packs, flying flamingos, writing boards, jewellery cleaners and glowing chickens (no, don't ask) were all in hot demand as eager buyers were spoilt for choice. The Mother’s Day stall was, again, a resounding success as students, eager to acknowledge all their mums do for them, went back to their classes, happy that they had selected something that would brighten up their mum’s Mother’s Day.

The Mother’s Day Stall is a mammoth effort but it would not be possible without the help of our fabulous community. This year we had 50 parents volunteer to help make it possible. They helped with a smile while packaging, wrapping, planting, setting up, selling, helping students select gifts and so much more.

Thank you so much for giving up your time to make this possible. We hope you were blessed by helping as much as the we all were by having you there.

Stay tuned for the Father’s Day stall which will be returning later this year. Maybe dad would like a glowing chicken? Who knows.
