2026 School Council Approved Contributions

2026 School Council Approved Contributions will be available to pay via the Payments Centre on Compass in the coming weeks. You will be able to see them in the Payments Centre when you login. You can choose to pay Contributions in full or via a payment plan. Several payment plans will be available including quarterly, monthly over 10 months or fortnightly over 10 months. If you opt for a payment plan after an instalment date, Compass will deduct payment from your credit card on the following day for past instalment dates with remaining payments in line with the advertised dates. Alternatively, 2026 Contributions are open for payment via the Payments Centre for the full school year, so you do have the option of making part payments at any time during the year when it is convenient to you.

Curriculum Contributions for Year 9 – 12 Subjects/Electives which incur additional costs will be available to pay to pay via Compass Events. These will be published on Compass in December. We are pleased to let you know there are no increases to subject/elective contributions for 2026.

All contributions are very much appreciated. Your ongoing support ensures that we can strive to achieve high-quality educational outcomes, excellent facilities and a stimulating learning environment which engages and nurtures all learners to achieve their goals for the future.

In 2025, we furnished the new Learning and Wellbeing Centre, upgraded student toilet blocks with new paint and vape detectors and landscaped our grounds by removing low-lying branches and planting new shrubs and trees. We installed new signage as well water bubblers displaying student artwork. We have also invested in modern furniture, appliances and equipment for our STEM Lab. Additionally, your contributions have allowed us to employ a Registered School Nurse and provide extra administrative support, including in our Wellbeing team. All initiatives are focused on providing better learning and wellbeing outcomes for our students. We thank you for your continued support.

If you have any queries regarding School Council Approved Contributions for 2026, please contact the College Office on 9561 5811 or email  business.manager@whsc.vic.edu.au

Payment Process and Closing Dates for Excursions and Activities via Compass, including payment via CSEF, SSB and credit balances.

Camps, excursions, and other school-based activities that have a financial charge associated with them fall under the Extra-Curricular Items and Activities category of fees and are offered to students on a ‘user pays’ basis. They are offered in addition to the standard curriculum.

The school sets cut-off dates for payment and consent on Compass to assist us in meeting our financial and duty of care requirements for each event. In support of meeting these obligations, we are not able to extend due dates for events or take late payments

An email is sent to families when the event is published as well as reminder emails. Students are also reminded by their classroom teachers about events and when payment and consent must be received. If payment or consent is not received by the due date, your child will be excluded from the activity and will be supervised by teachers at school.

Our Middle School students have been offered several excursions to celebrate the end of year. To ensure they don’t miss out on some fun activities, please log in to Compass to consent and pay before the cut-off date.

If you have received CSEF or SSB funding and would like to allocate it towards a Compass Event or have credit on your family statement that you would like to use, please contact the College office to arrange for the allocation to be processed.

As Compass now has the functionality to 'Pay with CSEF or credit balance' for Events, if you have insufficient funds on your family account to cover the cost of that event we will allocate the amount that is available and then update the event to show the amount that is still required to be paid. Payment of the balance will need to be completed before the event cut-off date for your child to be eligible to attend.  If you select to use CSEF, SSB or credit to pay for an Event on Compass, please check the Event again before the closing date to make sure that any outstanding balance is paid.

Please ensure that if payment is made via the office with CSEF, SSB or credit allocation, credit card or cash, that you log on to Compass prior to the closing date to provide Consent for your child to attend the event.

If you are having issues accessing Compass, please contact the relevant sub school for assistance.

School Uniform Update

As part of a State Government review of public school uniform codes to ensure affordability, schools  can no longer offer clothing items with logos below the waist. For WHSC this will have minimal impact. We have only have 2 items that have logos below the waist, our sports shorts and navy tracksuit pants.

Our uniform supplier, Lowes, will still provide the same items but without the logos. The new policy will come into effect at the end of Term Four, 2025. All other items remain in place. Students who currently wear  plain, navy tracksuit pants or shorts, without the logo on their Sport or PE days are within our current WHSC uniform dress code. Black tracksuit pants, black shorts, hoodies and leggings are not permitted within the policy approved by School Council.

If you would like any additional information about our uniform policy or the Government policy changes, please do not hesitate to contact the College.
