Grade 2 Report

We have been doing so many wonderful things in Grade 2 this term!
For our history unit we have been learning all about the past and how much life and technology has changed. We are very excited to be going on our excursion to Cooper’s Settlement on Thursday to see exactly how people used to live and all the amazing ways things have changed throughout history.
As well as being historians we have also been creative! As part of our reading and writing unit, we have been exploring non-fiction texts and learning about the structure and key features of an information report.
We used plasticine to design our own unique imaginary creature. We then wrote a detailed and imaginative information report describing our creation.
The finished creatures were fantastic, and the students thoroughly enjoyed both the creative building process and the opportunity to write about their ideas.
Elina “It was amazing”
Sasha “I had fun and it helped me stay in the green zone!”
Thomas “It was fun and creative”
Roy “A fun and enjoyable writing activity”
Edie “I liked being able to create my own animal”
Ava Z “I liked being creative and there were no rules and making our own animal”
